Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who donated to the La Victoria Outreach trip that my friend Liz and I just came back from last week.

It was a definite success, and we got inspired to do MORE and in different ways on our next visit.

We spent the time staying at the Schoenstatt Convent (the sisters there were so gracious and wonderful, miss them already!!)

The gardens and prayer areas on the property were absolutely beautiful:

A college friend of mine, Ashley, moved to DR and became a teacher, so when she heard about our trip, she was insanely kind and wanted to help!

She organized a Soap/Clothing/Sheet/Toy drive at her school and her students helped BIG TIME!!!

Thank you to everyone at Colegio Bilingue New Horizons– you guys were such a blessing!

They collected boxes and boxes and boxes of donations, and we are so grateful to them!

Liz and I then visited the families in the nearby neighborhood and handed out the donations–

the families and children were all so grateful and kind- it was really beautiful!

The convent has a Children’s Nutrition Center on the property, where children in need from the ages of 0-5 years old can come there daily for a nutritional breakfast and lunch.

The children were absolutely precious! The center is a huge blessing in their lives.

Liz was able to receive this LIFESAVER jerrycan donation which cleans and purifies water for the Nutrition Center!
